About the ACE Community and Portal
The Australian Circular Economy (ACE) Community is a network of individuals and organisations engaged in Australia’s circular economy.

The Portal refers to the online platform that supports this community. The Portal is hosted on the Mighty Networks platform and is managed by Boomerang Labs as the appointed custodian.

The ACE Hub Portal was previously managed by Planet Ark. This transition reflects the next phase of the initiative, with a renewed focus on building and supporting an active, connected ACE Community.

By joining or using the Portal, you agree to these Terms.

Relationship with Mighty Networks
The Portal is delivered via Mighty Networks. Your use of the platform is also subject to Mighty Networks’ Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, which govern the operation of the platform itself.

These Terms apply specifically to your participation in the ACE Community.
Community participation and content

We aim to create a space that is useful, respectful and supportive of people working in the circular economy.
By participating in the Portal, you agree to:

• Share respectful and appropriate content
• Engage in collaborative and constructive interactions
• Keep self-promotion to a reasonable and non-disruptive level

You are responsible for the content you post within the Portal and agree not to share content that:

• Is misleading, harmful, or unlawful
• Infringes on the rights of others
• Disrupts the experience of other members

Content shared within the community reflects the views of individual members and does not necessarily represent the views of Boomerang Labs.

Moderation and Community Management
Boomerang Labs manages and moderates the Portal.
We reserve the right to:

• Remove content that does not align with these Terms
• Restrict or remove access for members who breach these expectations

We aim to take a fair and proportionate approach to moderation.

Communications
By joining the ACE Community, you may receive communications through:

• The Mighty Networks platform, based on your selected preferences (including email and/or app notifications)
• Email communications from Boomerang Labs via Mailchimp, relating to the ACE Community, events and opportunities

You can manage your notification preferences within the platform and unsubscribe from email communications at any time.

Privacy
Boomerang Labs complies with the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles set out in that Act.

Information provided by individuals, including name, address and contact details, may be used by Boomerang Labs for the purpose of administering the ACE Community, including communications, events, and related initiatives.

We will not disclose your information to sponsors or commercial users of information.

The Portal is hosted on Mighty Networks, which may process and store your data as part of providing the platform.

You have a right to access your personal information and may request that we provide, update or remove this information. We will process your request promptly and may ask you to verify your identity before doing so.

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the community or platform.
